Metty – Housekeeper

Metty was raised in Rivercess about 3-hours from the Pillar of Fire Mission.  During the war she fled the region with her five children in tow.  She and her children made the over 60 mile journey to Buchanan on foot using the ocean as a reference so as not to get lost in the dense bush.  Her mother, father, brother and sister decided to stay in Rivercess and all were taken and killed by rebels.  After the war she returned with her children to Rivercess but struggled to provide for her family.  She is grateful for the Po River Clinic and the opportunity to support her family in a way she never thought would be possible.  Now she says, with a heart warming smile, “My life is very fine-o!”
