Babaa – Dispenser

Babaa has lived his whole life in the small village of Kpoweah Town about a 90-minute journey from the Pillar of Fire Mission.  During the war he was captured and beaten by rebels to the point that even today he cannot hear much out of his right ear.  He’s worked hard maintaining a farm and carving canoes to feed his family.  Before coming on to work at the Po River Clinic, Babaa served as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher at a government school for 4 years but never received any pay.  Since joining the Po River Clinic as dispenser he is extremely proud to have a job that will support his family and help provide for the needs of the community.  He has even been able achieve the dream of saving up enough money to build a new house.  🙂
