New Clinic Building Coming Soon!!!

When we first moved to the Pillar of Fire mission, in 2013, we converted a dilapidated 5-bedroom house into the clinic and partial residence– we lived in the back. The house was originally completed in the 1980’s for the missionaries serving in Liberia. Then the war happened. The missionaries were evacuated and that house was never used… except by rebels. We gave it a face-lift and revamped it for our clinic purposes. But now we have the opportunity to design a building with the intention of administering great health care. We’ve learned a lot over the past 8 years, what we need and what we don’t need. We’re really excited to break ground on a building that will answer our necessities for patient flow, ventilation, additional exam spaces and a quarantine area. The current building will then be converted into administrative offices, a conference room and training spaces for the mission site school, clinic and church. This is a crucial step in our long-term plan/goals for sustainable facilities, staffing and leadership.
